Another Pluto in Virgo, y'all!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susannah_Maria_Cibber

She also joined the premiere performance of Handel's Messiah on 13 April 1742, singing the contralto solos. Legend has it that Dr Patrick Delany, the chancellor of St Patrick's Cathedral, upon hearing her sing "He was despised", proclaimed "Woman, for this be all thy sins forgiven thee!"

Rob Brezsny mentions this episode in this week's Virgo (Cibber is Pluto in Virgo like ME). I remember the story from long ago (maybe the Christopher Hogwood 'Messiah'). I consider Susannah Cibber to influence for this reason, and I have done "He Was Despised" in my "emo" moods.
