Doesn't "Workhouse Howl" sound like a Yardbirds song? And this definition is Yahoo UK. I saw the term on Sunday's 'Call The Midwife' (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p011zrxx). As Song For All Seasons is my child (I suppose my Fender is my wife), it is now also my "Workhouse Howl".
